How To Achieve Your Dream Kitchen – Hot Ideas for 2022

There’s a good reason why the kitchen is called the “heart of the home” it’s where we cook, eat, socialize, relax and even work. The kitchen often has more going on in it than any other room in the house, updating it can make a real difference to how you feel about your home. Big projects that involve knocking down walls and ripping out cupboards might be disruptive and costly but can change the way you live by creating extra space for your family and can ultimately add serious value to your property. If your time or budget limitations mean you are looking to refresh rather than refurb there are plenty of clever tricks you can use to give your old kitchen a new lease of life. Whatever you decide, there are a few key things you need to consider.

        Colour

Move over grey and white, 2022 is all about colour and the great thing is you can choose your level. For those looking for a complete kitchen refurbishment, forest green or midnight blue cabinets can look spectacular and are very on trend. Soft, light coloured walls in shades such as dusky pink, cream and sage green help to balance out the darker tones. Shiny, bright fittings in brass or silver alongside marble or light quartz worktops will help bounce light around the room.
If you aren’t ready to go the whole hog just yet, there are quick and clever updates you can do with pops of accent colour, giving your kitchen a more modern feel. Botanical fabrics for blinds and tea towels, a mix of colourful chairs, bright appliances or new splashback tiles with interesting patterns will all draw the eye and give the kitchen a fresh, contemporary feel without breaking the bank. Our guide has more tips on how you can use colour cleverly in your kitchen and is free to download.

These are some of our favourite ideas. Invest in some glass gars – there’s no need to hide away dried food such as pasta, rice and pulses.
